Since high temperature oxide superconducting materials were discovered in December, 1986, the critical temperature has continued to rise closer to ordinary temperatures and it is now approaching 150°K. Our company has benefited from this progress and has become well known in the last ten years. Since we started to develop new materials more than 25 years ago, we have introduced many new products to the world. Yet while new technolgy is held in high esteems at the moment, it sonn becomes an old technology. As we can see today in the remarkable progress of electronics and computers, the increasing utilization of new materials leads to them becoming ever more multipurpose.
